Singing
As human I believe we all can sing but are we all good singers? Or do we sing just because we have a vocal cord? Singing I believe can be regarded as a talent, not all of us are good at it, some don’t even know what holding a note is, but still consider themselves as goo singers. Some sing in the shower, some sing in the kitchen, some sing at weddings, some sing at funerals, some sing in clubs, and the list goes on and on.

Singing can therefore be considered as a very fun and enjoyable activity especially for those who do it with a passion. "Of course some people are more naturally skilled than others. Even if you are content to sing in the shower, there are some things you can do to improve your voice. Your golden voice will be ringing in no time, but then again, some people are born with bad voices, and become fabulous and famous". (wikihow.com). so don’t stop singing, sing until you are satisfied.

Debating

Debating

Is debating really a lifestyle activity, or is it just an act which individuals find themselves caught up in? well debating can therefore be considered as a lifestyle activity because there are people who wake up every day , going to work just to go participate in debating, debating is therefore mostly participated by politician in the parliament.

Debate can therefore be referred to as a formal contest of argumentation between two teams or individuals. More broadly, and more importantly, debate is an essential tool for developing and maintaining democracy and open societies. More than a mere verbal or performance skill, debate embodies the ideals of reasoned argument, tolerance for divergent points of view or rigorous self-examination. (idebate.org)

Debate therefore doesn’t always have to be formal, there are also debates which are informal, like debating with your friends and other people about something that is not really that important to relevant. So debating can therefore be viewed from different perspectives.

cooking

Cooking

Cooking has been considered to be an activity which women should participate in and not men. Religiously a woman belongs in the kitchen, cooking for their husbands and children, but is that really true? Is cooking really only for women?

Viewing the lifestyle activities of the 21st century even men do participate in cooking. Cooking therefore has its own benefits, especially for people who really love cooking with a passion, not those who just cook because they are forced or because they have to, cooking turns out great for those who really put their heart into fulfilling the task.

The benefits of home cooking are many and far reaching. "Home cooking isn’t always home cooking anymore. Boxed mixes, frozen dinners, and canned foods have created convenience that many of us depend on. Simple foods like mayonnaise, bread, and ice cream have become items that are almost exclusively purchased readymade. Many people don’t even realize that they can be made at home". (Marye Audet, 2013).

People do not appreciate or take part in proper home cooked meals anymore because of time, always busy etc., all they do is prepare these new instant packages which are quick to prepare just to get their hunger off the way. Home cooking, especially when done well, has many more benefits than you can think.

karate

Karate

Karate is a Japanese martial art whose physical aspects seek the development of defensive and counterattacking body movements. The themes of traditional karate training are fighting and self-defence, though its mental and moral aspects target the overall improvement of the individual. (www.tulani.edu)

Karate may be defined as a weapon less means of self-defence. It consists of dynamic offensive and defensive techniques using all parts of the body to their maximum advantage. Karate practice is divided into
Kihon (drilling of stances, blocks, punches, strikes and kicks)
Kata (pre-arranged forms simulating combat situations)
    Kumite(sparring)
(University of Michigan)

So if you want to consider karate as an activity it is an advantage because you will be able to protect yourself with the skills you learn while in the process of participating in this karate act, so although training and adapting skills may be hard, its therefore hard for your own good.

Skateboarding

Skateboarding

Skateboarding is an action sport which involves riding and performing tricks using a skateboard. Skateboarding cam also be considered a recreational activity, an art form, or a method of transport. Skateboarding can also tend to be dangerous because one has no support structure when riding a skateboard. People fall and break themselves with skateboards but still go back for more; well I guess it is fun after all.

Many young boys are the target audience of this skateboarding act, they ride skateboards everyday till they get injured but the never learn anyway. Some people therefore have made skateboarding their everyday activity, whereby they skateboard on a daily basis, even making money out of the tricks they do with the skateboard. So although it is dangerous it can be a benefit to someone else.
