Acting

Acting
According to the English Oxford Dictionary, acting is referred to as" the art or occupation of performing fictional roles in plays, films or television". Acting is therefore the work of an actor or actress, which is a person in theatre, television, film who tells us the story by portraying a character.

If acting just means pretending to be someone else, then anyone can do it because that is the lifestyle we live everyday as individuals. So one can therefore ask themselves why actor on television and films get paid to act as someone else though we can all do it, in that case can’t we all get paid? "A professional actor’s goal is to portray another individual as honestly as possible that’s it. A portrayal. Pretense. Pretending".

(Mark W. Travis, 2013)

Therefore, for professional actors, they consider acting as a career path, which is why they get paid for it, and some of us do not take it as serious as they do and as professional as they do, so pretending is not only a lifestyle which we are used to living every day, it can be a breadwinner of some people.
